Just a quick note of thanks to the owner and contributors of this forum.

Through previous posts I found softcom.com.my who very rapidly provided me with a replacement controller board for my dead Maxtor.

They were easy to deal with and it took about 10 days to arrive in London

Screwed the old one off, the new one on and its as good as new!

Good luck to anyone with hard disk problems
