				I have previously posted the need for a PCB for this drive.  Harddrivespecialist, you PM'ed that you had one available.  I PM'ed YOU asking for verification of more numbers (TWICE) but have gotten no response.
 
 
If this board will work for me I'll gladly give you the amount you mentioned.  My board suffers from a burnt chip (motor controller??) which I understand is a very common problem for WD drives.

If anyone can help/advise please do.  I really believe that my HD assembly is in good shape, since putting another board on causes it to spin up normally with no unusual noises.  HDS, again if you have a board that will work with my HDA, I'll be happy to send the $$$.

				| For begining, You must check, that power contacts of preamp is not short closed. Preamp is a chip on head block into HDD. If contacts is short, then after put on hdd,  new pcb will be break. |

Thanks for the reply, but I'm a bit confused.  There are no visible chips on the hard drive assembly once I take off the PCB.   There are FOUR visible contacts near the center of the spindle.   I assume these are for the motor that rotates the drive.
 
 
Near the corner of the HDA is a contact block with about 20 pins on it.  I assume this is the control for the head movement mechanism.
 
 
Should I be checking for a short on the four contacts mentioned in the first paragraph of this message??
