What i don't understand is if it doesn't work for you, why would it work for me? Are we in the same problem? A broken inductor too?

my big chip is: agere 100404225 SEAGATE YUMACPA2-E16 0631S 6504407 N015916 A4

the driver chip is: 980 L SH690B E 6BDLE6T GY, looks like it's the same as yours

I don't think there's any way i'll be able to replace those chips. Even those 8 pin chips seem very very hard to handle. It'll just have to be pretty much the same PCB if i want to do a swap. From what i've came up with in some online store that sales PCB, they say that if the bar code on the PCB is the same, it should work.

bar code on pcb: 100406530 C 3710mmyw

Maybe I damaged another part. I don't know which part.
You just broke the inductor after you shut the PC down right?
So it should works.

Of course, if you can find the right PCB, go get it.
