Got this drive and is clicking away. Opened the unit and sure enough there are scratches on the surface of the disk platter. Anyone have experience with WD drive recovery ? Can I use any of the WD1600BB series to recover this or do I need the 00GUA0 exact type ? I'd like to try swaping the head assy from another drive but its not the same exact suffix. Is a WD1600BB though... Any feedback would be appreciated.
