I have a problem. I use Mac OX.10.4 and I have an external Hard Drive that has stopped working or Powering up. I have found that my original Drive has a bad Logic Board. So I find this obscure place in Texas and Low and behold they have the Identical Model # and Firmware. However the Date code is different and the Site Code is the same. Now prior to this my Hard-dive is dead a a Door knob with Noooo spining or sound.

So I take the logic board out of the identical drive and place it on the original hard drive and it Spins and is making a sound boots up. I jump up and down with excitement!!!

I then go to my mac CPU and create a folder to dump this info into so that I back it up more.

With firewire connected I turn on the CPU however the new drive is not being seen(Recognized). I restart.. to no avail... I connect it to a windows CPU as says that there is a removable disk present but properties says no size amount.

Is there a way to bypass the malfuctioning part of the Logic Board just so I can transfer the data? _________________ We All Need Help Sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
