Last night my Seagate drive (in an external enclosure) fell about 3 feet. It was still connected to my laptop, but immediately went dead and no longer spins up or shows any sign of getting power.

I'm hoping it simply triggered a power surge or something that damaged the PCB and replacing it might help. Any thoughts? |

				| There is a 80% chance you have major head damage and need a clean room. You could try taking the drive out of the case and connecting it directly to your computer. If that does not work, you are toast. |
