hi, not try to go off-topic but i have been wondering about this for ages. don't need technical details since it's probably hypertechnological stuff... but i heard it's possible ?

would this work f.e. ?

i had my computer formatted after it crashed, and linux installed...

the files i want to recover are pictures mainly, no big files.

There must be a reason why you formatted that drive.
There is many of programs that claim they can recover deleted data. I am not familiar with the one you questions about.
