I'm located in the Los Angeles area. What I want to do is find an identical circuit board, replace the existing one, get the drive to be recognized by BIOS and copy the data off onto another drive. We've done this in the past to drives and it has worked many times. However, we don't have any data recovery hardware. Is there affordable hardware we should be looking at? |

Will this see a drive that BIOS won't see? |

That isn't the PCB that I have. It's my understanding that I need the exact same PCB down to firmware and possibly even mfg date. Is that correct? |

So if I get salvation data, I can pick up a similar PCB, flash it with the firmware that you have for my HD, and then BIOS should be able to see my HD? |
