As the title states I am seeking a pcb (or entire drive) for a Samsung HD400LD. Had a power issue that knocked power out of 3 hard drives, hoping a new board will bring this one back to life.
Part number is: 149212FL809100 T MS
HD400LD (400GB/7200rpm/8M/PATA)
LBA 781,422,768 400.0GB T133 REV. A
Board has the following markings on it:
BF41-00106A
TRIDENT
REV. 08
PATA
Biggest chip on board:
88i6523-LFH1

I do have a similar harddisk. After the lightning stroke our house, the harddisk does not function. A technician thought the PCB was defect.
Now I am trying to buy a similar harddisk and "borrow" that PCB (is this called "swapping"??). Does this trick work?
