I am looking for the circuit board for a Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 9 200GB hard drive. The info off the drive is:
YAR41BW0 K, G, G, D
6Y200P0062211
Manufactured 07Jul2003
The info for the board is:
Calypso III 301599100
Ardent C8-C1 040111300
F8FYA
I have already tried ebay.com and softcom.com.my for the past 6 months or so and have not yet seen the correct firmware. I am willing to try a board with different firmware, but I'd prefer to try with a matching board first.
Does anyone have a board to sell me? |

In my pursuit to try fix my drive, I purchase one off e-bay that didn't work out (still haven't matched one). While the drive is an 80GB, the PCB looks like a match for you... If you PM me you address, I'll ship you the board. If it works out, send me a check or Paypal for what is was worth to you... cool? (BTW, I paid $45 shipped from E-Bay). If it doesn't work out, please either return it, or pass it on to another that needs the help.
Drive info--

Is the firmware listed on the outside of the disk? If so, where? |

@ buggin, sent you a PM
@Duane, on this particular drive the firmware is on the PCB itself. If you hold the drive board-side up with the connectors facing you, the longer white label on the right has a bar code and a 5 character code on the black plastic. In my case it was F8FYA. |
